How quickly can you help us prepare for an inspection?

We can usually begin a mock audit within two weeks of agreeing scope. A full readiness audit and written action plan typically takes two to four weeks, depending on the size and complexity of your service. If you are facing an imminent inspection, tell us — we will prioritise where we can.

Do you guarantee a Good or Outstanding rating?

No consultancy can honestly guarantee a CQC rating — the judgement belongs to the inspector. What we do is help you prepare for inspection with confidence: identify the gaps against the framework, put practical fixes in place, and make sure you have the evidence and assurance to walk in ready.

What's included in a retainer?

Each retainer tier includes a set number of hours per month that you can use flexibly — regulatory advice, document review, operational support, finance and governance input. Tiers also include compliance alerts, check-in calls and, on higher tiers, review meetings and board briefings. See the three tiers above for the detail.

Do you work remotely, on-site, or both?

Both. Mock audits are usually most valuable delivered on-site, where we can see your service in action. Mentoring, document review and ongoing retainer support work very well remotely. We agree the right mix with you at the outset.

You work directly with Vierka Hiscock, and with Dean Drake on finance, governance and Well-led infrastructure. No junior associates, no offshore delivery teams — senior practitioners only.

What if I need help outside these packages?

Project work that falls outside the fixed-price services is charged at our published day rate of £1,200 per day, plus pre-agreed expenses. Get in touch and we will put together a tailored proposal.

Do you provide staffing or recruitment?

We do not provide direct staffing or recruitment services. We can, however, advise on retention, workforce planning and international recruitment best practice as part of consultancy or retainer support.
